Once upon a time a party with my girls involved getting dolled up and heading to our favorite dance club: GNO, woo-hoo! These days - all the partying that I can handle is plopping on the couch and chatting with my girls! Translation: GNI = Girls Night IN! Well... 'night' now must be in the daytime! Girls Day IN just doesn't sound as catchy! Of course we need some snacks, beverages, and maybe a chick flick or TV show that we can all relate to! Sharing #MotherFunny parenting moments equals loudly laughing mommies! And that's BEFORE the cocktails!
Recently we checked out Instant Mom starring Tia Mowry-Hardrict on NickMom. It airs on Sunday nights at 10 pm ET. In order to coordinate a group viewing, we used the trusty DVR. It's not problem watching from our individual homes, but with everyone having their own version of crazy Sunday night routines to prep for school and work on Monday - DVR was the way to go!
Back to party life pre-children... Once upon a time we took TONS of pics on said nights out. These days it's like pulling teeth to get anyone to pose in a picture with me! Funny how times have changed. Back then our precious photos didn't get blasted on the Internet! I get it. I wouldn't have thought to party with my Mom during those days! Now she is the life of the party! Not to mention the most experienced mom of the bunch! Her stories are also the funniest because they are all about US!

DeleteI gave up doing anything in private long ago...even the movies I watch after the kids are in bed have to be kid friendly. I never know when a pair of little eyes ar peeking around the corner.
